Italian Studies to Offer New Master's Program

Georgetown’s board of directors have approved a new master’s degree in Italian studies that will expand the advanced studies offered at the university in foreign language, culture and literature.
“As one of the few autonomous Italian departments in the United States, it is critical that Georgetown’s Italian department introduce a graduate-level program that utilizes the talent and scholarship of its faculty and offers students a rigorous program of study in Italian language, culture and literature,” Provost James O’Donnell said in a letter to the board requesting approval for the new degree.
