What information will I receive about Parents Weekend prior to our visit to Georgetown University?
A save the date postcard will be sent to parents of first-year students, sophomores, and transfers over the summer. All other information will be provided online. Check back here frequently for schedule updates.
Once you arrive on campus for the weekend, you will receive a packet of information at check in, which will include a detailed schedule, campus map, and informational flyers about campus activities taking place while you're here.
If you have any questions prior to your arrival, please call the dean’s office at 202-687-6045 and ask to speak with the parents weekend coordinator.
Are family members and guests welcome at all events?
Yes! Family members and/or guests are welcome at all events. They must be included in your registration.
Is there a Parents Weekend for junior and senior students?
The College's fall Parents Weekend is specifically for first-year, sophomore, and transfer students and their families. Because so many of our juniors study abroad, there is not a dedicated parents weekend for juniors and their families.
Seniors' families are invited to campus in February for a special separate parents weekend. These dates will be posted on the Georgetown website in the coming months.
