Studying abroad

Q: Where do I find information about studying abroad? And when should I start thinking about that?

A: Good question! Review the College's general information about studying abroad, and visit the Office of Global Education (OGE) website. Even as a second semester sophomore, you are still eligible to study abroad during the semester. Your best option at this point is spring of your junior year. If this interests you, begin your explorations right away.

You must earn at least 60 credits in residence at Georgetown (so, not including study abroad credits), and you must be enrolled full-time at Georgetown for at least four semesters. As such, if you are planning to graduate in May 2021, you must be full-time in the four semesters you will be on campus, and you must earn at least 60 credits total in Georgetown credits.
