What Does Democracy Look Like?
January 22, 2013—All Georgetown students learn about social justice and “being men and women for others,” but there comes a time when learning must leave the classroom. Each year the Georgetown Solidarity Committee travels to Fort Benning near Columbus, Georgia, to protest the School for the Americas (now known as the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation). In this video, see how students combine theory with practice to promote non-violent protest and social engagement.
