Miranda Xiong (C’25)

What club or organization has had the most impact on you during your time at Georgetown?
Kinda embarrassing to say but probably Model UN! It gets a bad rap but it is a great way to meet new people and practice a lot of soft skills you usually don’t pay attention to. It has helped tremendously with my self-confidence and ability to adapt/think quickly!

What social justice issue(s) are you passionate about and why?
Criminal justice in an overarching way—I am interested in criminal justice at every single stage, from over reliance on policing, justice in courtrooms and investigative processes, including algorithmic justice and the effects of AI usage in the legal process, and carceral justice.

Any fun facts?
I can provide an insanely in depth commentary on every currently top 25 ranked team in NCAA Women’s Volleyball.
