Georgetown College Appoints Andrew Sobanet to Vice Dean of Faculty
Georgetown College is delighted to announce that Department of French and Francophone Studies professor Andrew Sobanet has been chosen to serve as Vice Dean of Faculty. He was selected for this role as Soyica Diggs Colbert assumes her role as Interim Dean of the College in January 2020.

Book by Georgetown Professor Andrew Sobanet Spotlighted in Prestigious H-France Forum
French and Francophone Studies professor Andrew Sobanet was featured in the most recent edition of H-France Forum, an online digital platform that promotes scholarly work and discussion on the history and culture of the Francophone world. Sobanet’s book, Generation Stalin: French Writers, the Fatherland, and the Cult of Personality, was one of only six selected for the Forum this year across all fields of French and Francophone studies.
