Combined Plan Program Curriculum

Although students can enroll in any undergraduate degree program at Georgetown and still qualify for the Combined Plan Program, majors in the sciences (particularly physics) and math are the most compatible.

For detailed information about the curriculum, please see the Combined Plan Curriculum Guide, which lists required pre-combined plan courses. Students may also download a four-year planning guide: general majorphysics AB major, and math AB major.

All students must complete the following Georgetown and pre-engineering coursework prior to applying:

  • All general education requirements
  • All requirements for the major
  • The following pre-engineering requirements:
    • Calculus I
    • Calculus II
    • Multivariable Calculus
    • Ordinary Differential Equations
    • Mechanics
    • Variations, Fluids, and Waves
    • General Chemistry I
    • Microeconomics
    • Computer Science I

Students enroll in additional pre-engineering requirements depending on their intended engineering major. Georgetown University offers all the prerequisite courses that lead to the following engineering majors:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Earth and Environmental Engineering
  • Engineering Management Systems
  • Engineering Mechanics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Materials Science and Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Operations Research with Financial Engineering

Students interested in applying to the following specialties may have to take one or two courses away from Georgetown (during the summer or through the consortium):

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
