Emptying Our Hands
June 3, 2013—During Commencement Weekend 2013, Georgetown College celebrated with the families and friends of over 900 graduates.
Actress and alumna Brit Marling (C’05) returned to campus to join students at Senior Convocation. Lisa Shannon, founder of Run for Congo Women and author of A Thousand Sisters, gave the keynote address at the commencement ceremony. She received an honorary doctorate for her efforts to raise awareness and support for Congolese women.
